Track Your Invoices!
Here is another feature in http://www.thecustomerfactor.com that allows you to track your invoices from the moment they’re created ’til the moment they’re paid. Here’s a screenshot:
So this “history” area is located on the invoice search results screen which is the screen you always land on after doing an invoice search.
The nice thing about this feature is that it’s all automated. For example, let’s say you email an invoice to a customer from the invoice screen. It’ll show up in the invoice history section for that invoice and be labeled “Emailed Invoice” right next to the date it was emailed. So it doesn’t matter where you email the invoice from. Basically anything you do for this invoice (email invoice, print invoice, email payment reminder, print payment reminder, etc. etc.) will register in this history area.
Even when you mark an invoice as paid in full (or even partially paid), it’ll tell you that. As you can see above, the invoice was finally “Paid In Full”
You can also add your own notes. Maybe you’ve emailed the invoice to the customer, emailed two payment reminders to them, and still no payment has been received. So if you pick up the phone and call ’em, you can click the “add” link next to “History” and a window will open where you can add a short note based on the conversation you have with the customer.
In conjunction with this Invoice History feature, we’ve also introduced a way for you to easily email and print payment reminders, but that’s talked about in the payment reminder update. To make it easy for you, we’ve also included 2 sample payment reminder letters that you can modify and use. And you’ll see a “sample 1” and “sample 2” link in the payment reminder email settings window where you can copy these payment reminders and use them for your payment reminder emails.
Have a good day! And as always, we’re always available for any questions.
Best Regards,
