Expanded Job Types

You can now see full job types in https://www.thecustomerfactor.com or if you happen to have lengthy job types for scheduled jobs. Lengthy job types used to get cut off and if this happened there w as really no way to see the full job type.

For example, you may have scheduled a “Carpet Cleaning: Living room, Dining Room, and Basement only” job for a customer. Previously it would have gotten cut off probably right around the “room” word after “Dining”. We needed to limit the number of job type characters due to screen width limitations.

And although there is still a character limitation for job types, if you now run your mouse over the job type, a tool tip information box will appear that’ll show you the entire job type. This has been incorporated into all screens where job types display like the prospect/customer profile screens, prospect/customer callback windows, prospect/customer search results screens, and the daily calendar screen.

Notes:

A job type tool tip will only appear if the job type is lengthy, so if you have a job type that is normal sized (such as “Window Cleaning” or “Window Cleaning-Inside/Outside” for example), there is no need for the tool tip to appear since you can see the entire job type on the screen. An indication of whether a job type is long or not is if you see three dots (…) after the job type text. That means it’s been cut off and you’ll be able to see entire job type simply by mousing over it.

We also set it up so that these job type tool tip information boxes appear when you mouse over any job type from within the job type dropdown itself. For example, let’s say you’re scheduling a job for a customer, so you click on the down arrow under the “Job Type(s)” heading to open up your list of job types. If you mouse over any job type (normal or lengthy) within this dropdown list, you’ll see a tool tip appear for every job type in the dropdown.
